In 10 years the consumption of chemical reagents in the Russian gold-extracting industry increased 3-fold, to 210 thousand tons in 2017.
At the same time, gold mining increased only 2-fold, to 187 tons.
In future the reagents market will be determined by the gold output increase. Sodium cyanide consumption by 2025 could grow to 120 thousand tons; the demand for sulfur acid might exceed 110 thousand tons, while for perchloron – 35 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
