In January-February Ukraine increased pig iron exports by 50.9% YoY, to 524.7 thousand tons valued at $171.7 million, up by 72.3%.
According to the State Fiscal Service, USA imported 50.5% worth of pig iron, Italy – 16.3% and Turkey – 13.2%.
In 2 months Ukraine imported 212 tons of pig iron valued at $132 thousand, as opposed to 586 tons valued at $286 thousand in January-February 2017.
The only suppliers were Russia (66.7%) and Germany (33.3%). (Ukrainian metal)
