In 2017 Russia imported 779 thousand tons of hot-rolled sheet with the thickness of over 10 mm, up 2-fold YoY.
According to the customs statistics, Ukraine supplied 31.7% of the total volume, down by 17% YoY.
Austria increased exports almost 9-fold, to 31.4%, followed by Germany (20.7%, up 9-fold).
South Korea and France increased their exports 300-fold, but their shares are 7.5% and 3% respectively.
The main purchases of these products are pipe works and ship-builders.
In 2017 deliveries to Nizhniy Novgorod region companies accounted for 31.8% of the total volume, up 8-fold. The share of Chelyabinsk region was 22.7% (up 18-fold), and Moscow region – 12.7% (up 2.6-fold).
