In 2017 DTEK decreased coal output by 11.3%, to 27.706 million tons.

According to the company statement, the decrease has to do with the loss of control over mines on the non-controlled territory in March 2017.

This resulted in anthracite output drop by 52.5%, to 4.791 million tons.

At the same time gas-generating coal production increased by 8.2%, to 22.914 million tons.

In 2017 DTEK decreased coal exports by 43.9%, to 0.748 million tons, while increasing imports 11.6-fold, to 2.571 million tons. The company imported coal from Poland, USA and the Republic of South Africa. (Ukrainian metal)
