In 2017 Armenia increased metal output by 11.3% YoY, after the 11.1% drop in 2016.

According to the National Statistics Service, in 2017 ferromolybdenum production grew by 1.1% YoY, to 6588 tons, with December 2017 output at 490 tons, down by 15.1% MoM.

Molybdenum concentrate output increased by 2.8%, to 10961 tons, with 828 tons produced in December 2017, down by 10.9%.

Copper manufacture decreased by 6.7%, to 12051 tons, while growing by 8.8% MoM, to 1216 tons in December 2017.

Copper concentrate output reached 428.5 thousand tons, up by 10.3% YoY, and 34.8 thousand tons in December 2017, down by 7.9% MoM.

Armenia produced 33181 tons of aluminum foil in 2017, up by 14.4% YoY, including 2832 tons in December 2017, down by 6.3% MoM. Rolled aluminum output totaled 543 tons.

Steel pipes manufacture grew by 36.2% YoY, to 10922.7 tons, with December 2017 manufacture up by 16.1% MoM, to 1088 tons.

Zinc concentrate production increased by 22.2%, to 9640 tons, of which 1085 tons were produced in December 2017, up 2.2-fold MoM.

All he metal produced is exported, mostly to Europe and US. (Ukrainian metal)
