VSMPO-Avisma had to evacuate 35 personnel of its facility in the Bereznyaki locality of the Perm region after 100 kilograms of molten chlorine salts spilled out of malfunctioning equipment, a source in the emergency services of the region reported.
Two units of gas and smoke rescue service are at the site using special substances to cool down the spill.
“There are no excesses of maximum allowable concentration of chlorine in the building of the facility,” the source said. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
