In 2017 Ukraine mined 34.92 million tons of coal, down from 40.86 million tons in 2016.
The Ministry of energy and coal industry mines obtained 4.83 million tons of coal. The mining plan (5.75 million tons) was 84.2% fulfilled.
In 2016 the state mines yielded 5.79 million tons of coal with the target of 7.27 million tons.
In December 2017 Ukraine mined 2.95 million tons of coal, with 413.2 thousand tons provided by state enterprises. (Ukrainian metal)
