In November Russia produced 4.26 million tons of pig iron, down by 16.7% YoY (4.4 million tons in October). In 11 months pig iron output in Russia decreased by 15.6% YoY, to 47.396 million tons.
Ukraine produced 1.6 million tons of pig iron in November, down by 16.2% YoY (1.655 million tons) and 17.721 million tons in January-November, down by 18.2% YoY.
Pig iron output in November in Kazakhstan was 315 thousand tons, up by 1% YoY (325 thousand tons) and in 11 months – 3.444 million tons, up by 15.1% YoY.
All in all the CIS countries produced 6.175 million tons of pig iron in November, down by 15.8% YoY (6.38 million tons in October). In January-November output totaled 68.561 million tons, down by 15.2% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
