Since the beginning of the year gold output in Tajikistan increased by 17%, that of silver – almost 2-fold.

In January-October gold output went up by 16.4% YoY, and silver – by 89.7%, according to the Ministry of industry and new technologies.

In 2016 Tajikistan produced the record volume of precious metals: 5 tons of gold and 3.2 tons of silver, up by 500 kg and by 200 kg YoY respectively.

It is expected that thanks to new capacities by 2022 gold output will have grown 7-fold as compared to 2012, to 16.8 tons from 2.4 tons. (Ukrainian metal)
