According to the Russian Steel Association, in 2017 local steel consumption will grow by 5.5% YoY. The previous forecast, published in June, presupposed the growth of steel consumption by 2%.
“The positive dynamics of metal consumption is shown by the machine-building sector – 14%. Steel consumption by car manufacturers will increase by 9%, and by construction industry – by 4%,” the association said.
Positive dynamics is also witnessed on all the key directions of the exports market. The growth is expected to reach 2.8%. (Ukrainian metal)
