Brazil has decided to postpone the imposition of antidumping duties on Russian and Chinese hot-rolled coils.

The investigation begun in April 2016 confirmed the dumping deliveries and the damage to local manufacturers. But the rolled metal consumers have asked the government not to impose antidumping duties as they may increase the price of the end products.

Thus, the government is taking a break until January 20, 2018. Until then the metal consumers have to prove that the absence of duties will serve the national interests and, in particular, will prevent inflation from rising. (Ukrainian metal)
