Chepets Mechanical Works has started manufacturing industrial ingots of intermetallic titanium alloys of increased weight (up to 1480 kg) for the aviation industry.

The main advantages of these alloys are the high melting temperature, increased strength, plastic and fatigue properties, good high temperature strength at the temperature of up to 700 degrees C and better heat-resisting properties at the temperature of 500-650 C.

The works has been granted a patent to produce intermetallic alloys on the basis of titanium aluminide with the increased content of niobium. (Ukrainian metal)
