Chepets Mechanical Works has started trial work to process wastes originated when the company produced uranium tetraftorid.
This is the first project in Russia to process uranium tailings bottom sediment.
The uranium tetraftorid manufacture (the first stage of uranium conversion) was shut down in 2013.
Research showed that the company could now produce ammonium poliuranate concentrate.
The manufacture will last for some 15 years. (Ukrainian metal)
