In January-August Russia imported 107.7 thousand tons of steel pipes from Germany, up 11-fold YoY.
June saw the record high results in all the history of imports from Germany – 53.7 thousand tons. In May and July imports were also rather considerable – around 25.5 thousand tons. But in August deliveries fell to 0.63 thousand tons.
Large diameter pipes occupy some 95% of the total imports. They are mostly delivered to the Krasnodar krai for the construction of the Turkish Stream. (Ukrainian metal)
