In September Russia produced 4.26 million tons of pig iron, down by 11.9% YoY (4.4 million tons in August).
In 9 months pig iron output dropped by 15.9% YoY, to 38.736 million tons.
Ukraine produced 1.6 million tons of pig iron, down by 12.9% YoY (1.66 million tons in August), with 14.466 million tons in January-September, down by 18.9% YoY.
Kazakhstan produced 315 thousand tons of pig iron, up by 3.6% YoY (304 thousand tons in August), and 2.804 million tons in 9 months, up by 17.5% YoY.
All in all in September CIS countries produced 6.175 million tons of pig iron, down by 11.5% YoY (6.385 million tons in August), and 56.006 million tons in 9 months, down by 15.5% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
