In September Russia produced 6.025 million tons of steel, up by 5.8% YoY (6.226 million tons in August). In 9 months steel output totaled 54.203 million tons, up by 2.8% YoY.

In September Ukraine produced 1.845 million tons of steel, down by 0.8% YoY (1.905 million tons in August). In January-September steel output totaled 16.138 million tons, down by 11.6% YoY.

Kazakhstan produced 380 thousand tons of steel in September, up by 5.8% YoY (393 thousand tons), and 3.404 million tons in 9 months, up by 7.7% YoY.

Belarus increased steel output by 22.3% YoY, to 225 thousand tons (230 thousand tons in August), in September, and by 13.2% YoY, to 1.838 million tons in January-September.

Uzbekistan steel output in September increased by 25% YoY, to 60 thousand tons (the same in August), but decreased by 2.3% YoY, to 502 thousand tons in 9 months.

Moldova produced 45 thousand tons of steel in September (the same in August, and no output in September 2016). In January-September steel output totaled 288 thousand tons, up by 305.6% YoY.
All in all in September CIS countries produced 8.58 million tons of steel, up by 5.3% YoY (8.859 million tons in August), and 76.373 million tons in 9 months (76.341 million tons in January-September 2016). (Ukrainian metal)
