The main sections of copper exports from Russia are raw copper (72.6%), wire and wire rod (23.9%). Imports are represented by pipe fittings, pipes and raw copper.

Local rolled copper and alloy output is around 60 thousand tons per month. A slight increase is expected in 2017.

The main copper manufacturers are Artemovsk Non-Ferrous Processing Works (9.1%), Revdino Non-Ferrous Processing Works (10.3%), and GZOTsM (10.1%). Kirov Non-Ferrous Processing Works (3.7%) is the leading flat rolled copper supplier, KUZOTsM increased output by 29.5%, while Kolchugtsvetmet (8.3%) is leaving the market. (Ukrainian metal)
