VSMPO-Avisma decided not to invest into the expansion of Demurino Mining and Processing Works capacities to 50 thousand tons because of economical reasons.

“At present we get 12-15 thousand tons of ilmenite. We won’t invest in the capacity increase”, the corporation CEO Mikhail Voevodin said. “When we bought DGOK, it already had a factory. Now we receive the return on our investments”.

On June 4, 2012 VSMPO-Avisma bought 75% of Limpieza Ltd, owner of Demurino GOK, for 1.885 billion rubles.

By 2014 the corporation planned to have increased DGOK capacities to the maximum of 50 thousand tons of ilmenite per year. (Ukrainian metal)
