In July Russia produced 4.915 million tons of pig iron, down by 7.6% YoY (4.55 million tons in June). In January-July Russian pig iron output dropped by 2.6% YoY, to 35.101 million tons.
Ukraine produced 1.79 million tons of pig iron in July, down by 13.8% YoY (1.52 million tons in June), with 14.031 million tons produced in 7 months, down by 18.4% YoY.
Kazakhstan produced 350 thousand tons of pig iron, up by 11.1% YoY (340 thousand tons in June), and 2.262 million tons in January-July, up by 27.7% YoY.
All in all CIS countries in July produced 7.055 million tons of pig iron, down by 8.5% YoY (6.41 million tons in June), as well as 48.811 million tons in 7 months, down by 5.8% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
