Karelsky Okatysh has put a new 20-cubic meters EKG-20KM excavator into operation.
According to the company statement, the machine will work at the central quarry. It will replace the CAT-6060, the operation of which has been suspended because of the high expenses.
The new excavator will dig some 4 million cubic meters of rock per year.
There are only 4 such machines in Russia, with 3 of them working at Karelsky Okatysh.
The assembly of the excavator lasted for 3 months. (Ukrainian metal)
