NLMK has completed its project begun in 2015 on the replacement of dust-gas filtering equipment at its refractory shop.

As the result dust emissions have decreased by 18%, and the dust captured is returned to the manufacturing process as raw materials.

The tests of the new electric filters have been carried out at the lime rotary kiln No. 3 with the capacity of 150 thousand cubic meters per hour. This is the last of the four kilns to be reconstructed under the project. The trial operation confirmed the expected parameters: the cleaning rate increased to 99%.

In 15 years NLMK has invested around 31 billion rubles into environment projects. (Ukrainian metal)
