The European Commission has imposed final antidumping duties on the Belarus Iron and Steel Works rebars.

The size of the duty is 10.6%.

That’s below the December 2016 preliminary level of 12.5%.

The investigation on the Belarusian rebars started in March 2016 on request from Eurofer.

According to the company, in 2015 imports of Belarusian rebars to EU reached their highest at 506 thousand tons. In 2016 they dropped to 358 thousand tons, and in January-April 2017 were only 46 thousand tons.

It should be noted that Belarus is only the 4th largest exporter of rebars to EU after Russia, Norway and Turkey. (Ukrainian metal)
