The government of Kyrgyzstan proposes to regulate the export of gold ore through taxes, Vice Prime Minister Oleg Pankratov said at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on the fuel, energy complex and subsoil use on April 18.

The deputies suggested voicing the government’s position, as they were currently drafting a bill. Therefore, it is necessary to know whether it is expedient to introduce a duty or to build a plant.

Oleg Pankratov said that after the accession of Kyrgyzstan to the EEU, the republic could not introduce regulations.

“The duties won’t affect the ore that is exported to Kazakhstan, only to China. We propose introducing regulations not through duty, but through taxation,” he explained. (24.kg/Ukrainian metal)
