The budget of Kyrgyzstan will get 2 billion soms from Shambesai project in form of tax deductions, the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use reported.
It is noted that the day before Batken region hosted a round table to discuss Shambesai gold project. Issues of safety of gold mining technology, production impact on the environment were discussed. The issue of providing workers of the region with jobs thanks to the launch of the project was raised.
The company that owns the license for Shambesai will deduct non-tax payments in amount of 2% of the proceeds from the sale of gold to the budget of Maidan rural district and Kadamjai Development Fund. In total, about 200 million soms will be transferred.
As for employment, in the near future an enrollment among local residents for training in the specialties needed at the mine on the basis of the Interbranch Training Center under the State Committee of Industry will be announced.
In January Shambesai gold deposit in Kadamjai district of Batken region received full funding and is at the stage of engineering development. The entire block of shares of Australian Manas Holdings (Kyrgyz) Pty Ltd., the parent company of Z-Explorer, was bought by the Chinese company Tiandi International Mining Co. Limited.
