NLMK-Kaluga, the new generation electrometallurgical works and the largest producer of construction steel in the Central region of Russia, has produced the 4-millionth ton of steel.
The works was put into operation in July 2013. It is capable of producing 1.5 million tons of steel and 0.9 million tons of rolled metal per year.
“In just half a year after being put into operation, NLMK-Kaluga reached the maximum capacity and has been keeping the high level of productivity since then”, the company CEO Sergey Shalyaev said. (Ukrainian metal)
