The ChTPZ Group intends to increase compressor-pump pipes with externally upset ends output from 18 to 35 thousand tons per year.
The increase of capacities has been made possible thanks to the modernization program at the Pervouralsk Pipe Plant.
The modernization saw the replacement of parts at pipe cutting-mills, etc.
The Pervouralsk Plant produces CPP with externally upset ends of 60, 73 and 89 mm diameter and wall thickness of 5-8 mm of carbon, alloyed and corrosion-resistant steel. The products are used in oil and gas extraction. The pipes strength allows them to be used at the depth of 7 km.
The main consumers of such pipes are Lukoil, Rosneft and Bashneft. In 2016 the ChTPZ share on the Russian market of compressor-pump pipes reached 34%. (Ukrainian metal)
