The volume of coal transported via LDz infrastructure increased significantly in December 2016 –by 28.4% YoY. Overall, LDz transported nearly 16 million tons of coal in 2016.
«A significant increase is also noticed in the ferrous metal segment – 43.1% YoY», LDz reports.
2.2 million tons of coal was transported in December 2016. LDz had previously turned attention to growing demand in this cargo segment. The company urged ports and active terminals to cooperate and reduce downtime for goods in LDz infrastructure.
The company reports an increase in ferrous metal transports last year. 161 thousand tons were transported in December 2016. When compared with December 2015, this is a 136.8% increase. Over the course of the year, LDz transported 1.8 million tons, up by 43.1% YoY (1.3 million tons of ferrous metals). (BNN/Ukrainian metal)
