The Ministry of economical development of Russia believes that in 2017 metal and metal wares output will grow by 1% YoY, with 1.6% and 1.8% growth forecast for 2018 and 2019.
Rolled metal growth will be slower (less by 1%), but by 2019 Russia will be producing 61 million tons of rolled metal per year (59.6 million tons in 2016). Steel pipes manufacture will grow by 1.5-3% per year, with 11.2 million tons to be produced in 2019, according to the ministry.
Rolled metal exports in 2019 will remain on 2015 level – 27.5 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
