ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih intends to invest over $100 million into the construction of the new continuous casting machine.

“We plan to build another CCM with the total capacity of 1.4 million tons per year. This requires investments in the amount of $100 million. And that’s just one of the investment projects we want to implement in 2017”, the company CEO Paramjit Kahlon said.

AMKR hasn’t chosen the subcontractor for the construction works, while the CCM is expected to be put into operation in Q2 2018.

The company has already constructed one coking battery and plans to construct another. Investments into new coking batteries at the company total $70 million. (Ukrainian metal)
