Since July 19, the throughput of the Kamysh-Zarya railroad route has dropped from 14 cargo trains per day to 9.

“The reason isn’t something new – the lack of fuel”, said the Azovstal CEO Enver Tsikishvili.

The works has to help railroad again – it provided 33 tons of fuel.

“But that will be enough for 2 days. The prospects are uncertain, we believe we will have to help again”, he said.

“How long will the metal companies remain hostages of this situation? We have losses because of the regular breaks in the Ukrzaliznytsia purchasing procedures (of fuel, spare parts, repairs, etc.). While they’re thinking, our stocks are dwindling. In two days we will be forced to decrease output”, Tsikishvili added.

According to Metinvest CEO Yuri Ryzhenkov, Mariupol metal works need 30 cargo trains a day. (Ukrainian metal)
