In January-May industrial output in Donetsk region (without the antiterrorist operation zone) increased by 7.2% YoY, but in May it was down by 4% MoM and by 1.2% YoY.
The regional metal output went up by 9.3%, while mining production rose by 15.9%, all YoY.
Coal mining reached 6.3 million tons, up by 17.1% YoY. Pig iron output totaled 3.9 million tons, up by 18.5%, that of steel – 3.7 million tons, up by 9.5%, all YoY. Continuous cast billets totaled 91.8% or 3,4 million tons of all the steel produced. Rolled metal manufacture increased by 19.5% YoY, to 2 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
