In January-March Donetsk region (without the antiterrorist operation zone) industrial output went up by 10% YoY, with March indexes up by 5.5% MoM and 10.1% YoY.

Metal output increased by 11.2%, that of mining – by 19.9% and of coke – 1.6 times.

Ordinary coal mining increased by 22.3% YoY, to 3.8 million tons.

Pig iron manufacture totaled 2.2 million tons in Q1, up by 20.5% YoY, while steel output increased by 9,1% YoY, to 2 million tons. 92.8% of all steel (1.9 million tons) constituted continuous cast billets.

Rolled metal went up by 22.2% YoY, to 1.1 million tons.

At the same time March saw higher results YoY: pig iron output – up by 25.9%, steel – by 28.9%, rolled metal – 1.5 times. (Ukrainian metal)
