In April Ukraine will produce 2.1 million tons of steel, 2 million tons of pig iron and 1.8 million tons of rolled metal, says Metallurgprom.
At present Donetsk Electrometallurgical Plant and Donetsk Metal Works are idle. As of March 1, 23 out of 27 blast furnaces, 7 out of 9 open-hearth furnaces and 18 out of 21 converters were in operation.
For March Metallurgprom forecast metal output on the level of 2 million tons of steel, 2 million tons of pig iron and 1.8 million tons of rolled metal.
In February Ukrainian metal companies produced 1.97 million tons of steel, 1.88 million tons of pig iron and 1.78 million tons of rolled metal, up by 1.7%, down by 1.8% and up by 10.1% YoY respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
