The Ministry of economical development and trade has carried out an audit at Dnieporpetrovsk Tube Works and found out that some of its assets have been given to the private ownership.
This has paralyzed the works operation.
“We were not able to complete our defense orders. Ukraine is completely dependant on Russian nuclear fuel, and the Tube Institute is the only developer of our own nuclear fuel production techniques”, said the company CEO Radomir Korol.
According to the ministry, the alienation of property cost the works and the institute around 50 million UAH.
The premises contain the institute equipment, but the building itself is abandoned. The institute can’t use it and none knows the owner. Still the institute is paying ground tax for it and for the protection. (Ukrainian metal)
