Ukraine has left the TOP-10 world producers of steel, but has still increased its output YoY.
“For the past half year metal export fell by 40%. But that’s not only our local problem. World metal prices have fallen, and the only thing that supports us is our pig iron. Even if our metal companies start working actively, steel will not be in great demand on foreign markets in the near future”, said Alexander Okhrimenko, the Ukrainian Analytical Center president.
