In January-May major pipe companies of Ukraine produced 368.2 thousand tons of ferrous pipes, down by 40.1% YoY.

In May the country produced 79.3 thousand tons of pipes, with 68.8 in April.

Khartsyzsk Pipe Works situated in the ATO zone decreased its pipe output in 5 months by 24%, to 63.9 thousand tons, with 20 thousand tons in May and 12 in April.

Interpipe-NTZ pipe output in January-May went down by 47.6% YoY, to 72.7 thousand tons (14.1 thousand tons in May), at Interpipe NMTZ – by 56%, to 31.8 thousand tons (8.8 thousand tons) and at Interpipe Niko Tube – by 39.2%, to 106.2 thousand tons (17.9 thousand tons in May).

Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works produced 16.1 thousand tons of pipes (5.1 in May), down by 30% YoY. Lugansk Tube Plant was still idle.

Kominmet decreased its pipe output by 23.2%, to 62.7 thousand tons (11.6 thousand tons in May), Centravis – by 4.4%, to 8.6 thousand tons (1.6 in May).

AG Stal was idle in January-May, but in the first five months of 2014 produced 12.1 thousand tons of pipes.

Dniepropetrovsk Tube Works pipe output fell by 73%, to 4.1 thousand tons. In May the works stood idle. (Ukrainian metal)
