In 2013 Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works (AMK), a part of the Industrial Union of Donbass corporation, increased its rolled metal output by 9.3%, to 3.812 million tons, as compared with 2012.

In 2013 the works increased its steel production by 7.9%, to 4.174 million tons, and pig iron manufacture by 7.7%, to 3.792 million tons.

In December 2013 the company produced 333 thousand tons of rolled metal, 372 thousand tons of steel and 333 thousand tons of pig iron.

In January AMK plans to produce 390 thousand tons of steel, 350 thousand tons of pig iron, for which it would need to acquire 50 thousand tons of scrap metal.

In 2012 the works decreased its rolled metal output by 4.2%, to 3.487 million tons, but increased its steel production by 2.6%, to 3.870 million tons, pig iron output by 3.5%, to 3.521 million tons, and sinter manufacture by 1%, to 5.17 million tons, all compared with 2011.
