In 2013 the Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works (MMK Ilyicha), a part of the Metinvest group, decreased its rolled metal output by 3.3%, to 4.2 million tons.
In 2013 the works smelted 5 million tons of steel, down by 2.1%, and produced 5.1 million tons of pig iron, up by 12%, both YoY.
In December 2013 MMK Ilyicha produced 347 thousand tons of rolled metal, 424 thousand tons of steel and 469 thousand tons of pig iron.
In 2012 MMK Ilyicha decreased its output of rolled metal by 17%, to 4.329 million tons, its steel production by 16%, to 5.15 million tons, and pig iron manufacture by 12.8%, to 4.517 million tons, all compared with 2011. (Ukrainian metal)
