According to the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, in the first half of the current year Ukraine did not export any steel scrap, while in the same period of last year the country exported 315,839 metric tons of scrap worth a total of $131.973 million.
In January-June Ukraine’s scrap imports increased 2.4 times YoY to 103,651 metric tons, worth a total of $41.281 million, up by 61.2% compared to the same period of 2012.
