Leading steel pipe and railway wheels maker Interpipe has strengthened its position in the energy market in the Middle East with pre-qualifications from the region’s leading oil and gas companies.
In the first half of 2010 Interpipe gained pre-qualification from the Ministry of Oil and Gas of the Sultanate of Oman, the Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations, the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation as well as the Kuwait Oil Company. The product range approved as a result of pre-qualification includes pipes for exploration, extraction and the transportation of oil and gas.
Mr. Fadi Hraibi, Director, Product and Resource Management at Interpipe, said “Pre-qualification from leading oil and gas companies based in the Gulf is a major component of Interpipe business development. It is hugely exciting to become an official supplier to leading companies in the region enabling us to set new horizons for the company and giving us an opportunity to extend our customer base and improve our sales geography. Interpipe is also included in the list of potential suppliers to major oil company Saudi Aramco.” (SteelGuru)
