It is reported that Ukraine increased production of steel tubes in January to May 2010 by 9% YoY in comparison with the same period of the previous year to 639,000 tons.

Tube plants increased output by 6.7% to 542400 tons, steel works increased by 26.5% to 97000 tons.
Nizhnedneprovsky Tube Rolling Plant increased production of tubes by 68.8% to 132200 tons.
Nikopol Seamless Tube Plant, which is Niko Tube Co., increased output by 187.7% to 116800 tons.
Lugansk Tube Plant increased output by 50.3% to 86300 tons.
Novomoskovsk Tube Plant increased its output by 70.4% to 66800 tons.
Dnepropetrovsk Tube Plant increased its output by 77.7% to 33400 tons.
Centravis Production Ukraine increased its output by 29.3% to 5300 tons.
At the same time, UTiST Nikopol Steel Tubes Plant decreased production by 49.4% to 4600 tons and Trubolit kept production at the level of the same 5 months of 2009, that is 1500 tons.
Among steel mills Comintern Steel decreased tube production by 6% to 62200 tons and Ilyich Steel increased tube production by 231.4% to 34800 tons.
Total steel tube production in Ukraine in May was 142,500 tons, 149,000 tons in April, and 135,000 tons in March.
In 2009 Ukraine produced 1.565 million tons of steel tubes. (Minprom)
