In 2010 Interpipe NTRP mill plans to save 320 tons of metal or the equivalent of UAH 1 million by reducing technological cutting while rolling measured 6 meter pipes. This advancement has been made possible due to new technology implemented by the company.

With this technology it is possible to reduce the use of metal by 24 tons in the production of 300 tons of this type of product. Approximately 4,000 tons of measured 6 meter pipes will be produced at Interpipe NTRP this year.
The recent implementation of the principles of economical production is one of the priorities of the Interpipe company. The company initiatives are aimed at reducing the use of raw materials and energy supplies in production, and ensure effectiveness, low cost and quick return of investment. The project has already helped to reduce the planned discharge coefficient of metal from 1.2 to 1.12 points.
