According to the data for January to October 2009, Ukrainian exports of steel pipes decreased by 27.5% YoY to 1.16 million tons, semi-finished steel product exports dropped by 10.5% to 9.8 million tons, exports of flat-rolled steel decreased by 32.2% YoY to 4.95 million tons and exports of long steel dropped by 19.8% YoY to 4 million tons.


On the other hand, in January to October this year Ukraine registered ferroalloy exports down by 38.2% YoY to 595,230 tons, pig iron exports down by 3.2% YoY to 1.184 million tons, coke exports decrease by 21.9% YoY to 728,810 tons. Meanwhile, during the first ten months of this year, Ukraine increased its iron ore exports by 9.8% YoY to 21.88 million tons and its scrap exports by 25.1% YoY to 726,800 tons. (SteelOrbis)
