In June scrap deficiency for domestic consumption totaled 100 thousand tons, or 26% of the needs.
In January-June Ukraine exported 739.18 thousand tons of ferrous metals scrap, up by 56.7% or 59.4% YoY, depending on the source. Thus the Customs service states 471.68 thousand tons of scrap exports in January-June 2014, while the State Statistics claim it was 463.59 thousand tons.
The tax police of the State Fiscal Service have found violations of the tax legislation worth 1.6 billion UAH by a metal scrap exporting and trading company.

The state informational and analytical center Gosvneshinform says steel scrap exports in January-May are up by 37%, or by 191.8 thousand tons, to 509.4 thousand tons, YoY.
