Two DTEK miners were killed and four others injured in a Russian attack using strike drones on the center of Pavlohrad on September 10.
“A terrible tragedy: the enemy claimed the lives of two of our employees during the attack on Pavlohrad, and four others were injured,” DTEK wrote on Telegram on September 11.
DTEK noted that the deceased included 39-year-old Vitaliy Huba, a face miner at the extraction section, and 43-year-old Yevhen Shevchenko, a mining machine operator.
Huba is survived by his parents and wife; Shevchenko is survived by his parents, wife, son, and young daughter.
“We extend our sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of Vitaliy Huba and Yevhen Shevchenko. DTEK will provide all necessary support to the families of the deceased,” the company stated.
The company added that the injured DTEK employees promptly received all necessary medical assistance; their lives are not currently in danger, and the company will assist them during their treatment and recovery. (Energyreform)
