The Rodninskaya mine employees (a part of Mirnogradugol, Donetsk region) still cannot make the enterprise management clear salary debts.
“The miners have issued an ultimatum to the enterprise managers and the Ministry of energy and coal industry on July salary debts clearing (2.6 million UAH) and August salary payment. Now the salary is paid with a month lag behind: in August they are paid July salary, while in September they have to be paid the August salary in full”, the Independent Miners Union of Ukraine chairman Mikhail Volynets wrote on his Facebook page.
On August 30 the first shift miners went underground and began striking demanding the complete clearing of salary debts. After promises to clear debts they got back to work. Then the mine authorities promised to clear the 2.5 million UAH debts by September 7. (Ukrainian metal)
