In April 1, the employees of the Rodinskaya mine of the state enterprise Mirnogradugol refused to go underground.
For three months they have not been receiving salary in full and intend to strike until the debt is cleared.
“The mine is in the restructuring process at the moment. We owed 2.59 million UAH to the miners in January and 2.6 million UAH in February. The debt originated from us not receiving payment for restructure. We did all we could – we paid 1.151 million UAH for January, 979 thousand UAH for February and 1.008 million UAH for March from other funds”, the state enterprise CEO Yuri Korneyev said.
On April 15, the mine will stop extracting coal, and will be completely shut down in 2 months. (Ukrainian metal)
