In 2016 Beloretsk Iron and Steel Works, a part of Mechel, increased galvanized rope wire deliveries to cable companies by 32% YoY, to 2.5 thousand tons.
BMK supplies galvanized rope wire with 0.75-2.5 mm diameter to 8 local cable works. The wire is corrosion-resistant and is used to armor cables for oil and gas industry.
“The increase in deliveries is connected with the expansion of the customer base, as well as the production of additional sizes of rope”, BMK sales director Anton Khlynov said. (Ukrainian metal)
