Metinvest Group’s Zaporizhstal has successfully passed surveillance audits of its integrated management system for compliance with the requirements of international standards for quality ISO 9001:2015, environmental management ISO 14001:2015, occupational health and safety ISO 45001:2018, as well as a recertification audit for energy management ISO 50001:2018.
Auditors from Bureau Veritas Certification Ukraine inspected the production technology, operating and maintenance conditions of the plant’s equipment, compliance with occupational health and safety regulations at the workplace, and all accompanying documentation. Auditors of Technical and Management Services LLC, a corporate partner of the TUV SUD certification company, were convinced of the systematic work of the team on the implementation of economical and energy-efficient solutions in production.
The inspections were carried out in the sintering, furnace, open-hearth, hot and cold-rolling shops, as well as in auxiliary and energy departments. The auditors noted the plant’s systematic work with customer orientation, effective cross-functional interaction of services, a high level of compliance with the principles of industrial safety in production and the rational use of energy resources.
According to the results of the audits, Zaporizhstal was recommended to renew its certificates for compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 quality standards, ISO 14001:2015 environmental management, and ISO 45001:2018 occupational health and safety standards, and a certificate confirming compliance with the ISO 50001:2018 energy management system was also issued.
Zaporizhstal has been certified and has been regularly confirming its compliance with the international quality management system standard since 2003; since 2008 – with international standards for environmental management systems, occupational health and safety management, and industrial safety.
