The United Mining and Chemical Company, that Ukraine intends to privatize, has received a large order from the USA.
The company has resumed titanium-containing ore extraction at Irshansk Mining and Processing Works.
IrGOK suspended operation in October 2022 due to the absence of contracts for ilmenite concentrate.
In summer 2023, UMCC reported on the relaunch of the processing factory. And now the company has resumed ore extraction.
“We have an active contract with an American end user for 70 thousand tons of ilmenite concentrate. Another 25-40 thousand tons are being negotiated. We have almost sold out our previous stocks,” the deputy chairman Yegor Perelygin has said.
IrGOK intends to produce 12 thousand tons of ilmenite concentrate per month until the end of the year. (Ukrainian metal)
